Each brand featured by MenoMieux must have transparent and traceable supply chain practices. trace and verify a company's environmental and labor standards. We select brands that reduce resource usage through sustainable manufacturing processing. Factors considered include closed loop production, reduced water usage, solar powered factories, carbon neutral supply chains and other environmentally positive practices.
We select brands that work with suppliers and factories that ensure workers are paid a living wage and provide fair, safe and healthy working conditions.
We encourage our brand partners to create end-of-use strategies and support recycling and resale programs that our brands have in place to extend the product lifecycle.

Developed from 100% recycled fibers that come from pre-consumer waste and post-consumer discarded garments. Cotton fabric is converted into raw cotton fibers and made into newly recycled fabric to be reused in textiles.
Recycled Polyester (rPET)
Production of rPET diverts post-consumer plastic water bottles from landfills. A closed-loop process where the plastic is washed, flaked, heated and spun into a fiber. Performance, durability and strength of conventional polyester are retained while being environmentally superior.
Developed from 100% recycled fibers from garments that are ‘pulled’ back down to the raw fiber state and re-used as a raw material to make yarn again, with which a new garment can be created.
GOTS Organic Cotton
Grown without the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs. A natural process that sustains the health of soil, ecosystem and people.
Produced from cotton fiber of discarded clothing and fabric scraps. A closed-loop process where materials are broken down and spun into new fiber. Breathable, comfortable and eco-friendly.
Wool is rapidly renewable, biodegradable, antimicrobial and low maintenance. Responsible Wool Certified and GOTS Organic standards are observed.
Grown with no chemicals and very little water. The entire flax plant is used, making it a waste-free crop. Highly durable and fully biodegradable.
This fabric was developed by German microbiologist Anke Domaske. Spoiled milk from German dairy farms is spun into a silky fiber, produced entirely without chemicals and with very little water. The finished fabric retains all of milk’s nutrients and natural proteins, making it antimicrobial, hypo-allergenic, temperature regulating and fully biodegradable.
Rayon from Bamboo
The Rayon is made by mechanically processed Bamboo which involves crushing and retting. A manufacturing process that purifies the cellulose, alters the physical form, molecular orientation and degree of polymerization. Bamboo trees regenerate in 55 days, are biodegradable, pesticide-free and require little irrigation. Silky-soft touch, breezy and breathable.
A non-woven fabric made from discarded pineapple leaves. This fabric doesn't require new lands and its raw material is a byproduct from already existing Pineapple plantations in the Philippines. The production of Piñatex® is an optimization of the pineapple harvesting which brings a greater income to the farmers when allowing them to fully utilize their crops.
Fibers are extracted from sustainably grown wood using a unique closed loop system which recovers and reuses the solvents used, minimizing the environmental impact of production. Unique physical properties lead to their high tenacity profile, efficient moisture management and gentleness to skin.
Fibers are extracted from naturally grown beech wood by an environmentally responsible integrated pulp-to-fiber process, which is self-sufficient in energy and recovers co-products from component parts of the wood.
100% Regenerated Silk
A bluesign® certified luxurious mulberry silk fabric that brings positive environmental impact. Produced from regenerative farming methods, that achieve comprehensive and sustainable conservation of the atmosphere, water and soil.
ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon
This innovative fiber is made by recycling abandoned fishing nets, fabric scraps, and other discarded pre and post-consumer waste and turning it into quality nylon yarn.
By upcycling waste into new things, we eliminate the energy needed to create new materials, while simultaneously reducing the amount of waste being sent to landfill. Skins are tested for chrome VI after aging, ensuring the leather is safe to wear and veg tanned skins when possible.
Premium quality eco-leathers are tanned without the use of harmful chemicals like chromium and have no synthetic top finish. Naturally tanned leathers are safer for people and the planet and give each product a unique look and feel.
Pre and Post-Consumer Nylon Waste
The production process is a lot less harmful to the environment than traditional nylon production and we are consistently looking for innovative and cleaner ways to produce - conserving or reusing water, decreasing emissions, reducing and recycling waste. From this highly efficient recycling procedure energy and water consumption are reduced.
Deadstock Alpaca Wool
Alpaca wool is a highly sustainable, biodegradable fiber that can endure just about anything. The alpaca wool deadstock is sourced and produced in Peru, where it also has ancient ties to knitting and Peruvian heritage textile culture.
Deadstock Pima Cotton
The finest of the fine cotton deadstock: Peruvian Pima. This cotton is soft, durable, hypoallergenic, and vegan-friendly. It can be composted at the end of its long life. It’s also wrinkle-resistant and easy to care for.
